If you join the beta list, we keep your email address so we can invite you to the beta and tell you when Dustwise launches. We count visits without cookies and without knowing who you are. Nothing is sold, and there are no ads or trackers.
This page covers the Dustwise website. The Dustwise app has its own privacy policy, which will be published here when the app is released.
Who we are
Dustwise is made by an independent developer, who is responsible for this data. Contact: support@dustwise.app.
What we collect, and why
- Your email address, only if you submit the form, to invite you to the beta and to tell you when Dustwise launches. Basis: your consent, which you give by submitting the form.
- Where you came from, such as “reddit” when you followed a link tagged that way, and the date you joined. Stored with your email, so we know which places to share Dustwise in.
- Anonymous visit counts. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views, the referring site, country and device type. It sets no cookies, doesn’t track you across sites, and doesn’t keep your IP address or link a visit to you. Basis: our legitimate interest in knowing whether the site works.
- A check that you’re a person. When the signup form is on screen, Cloudflare Turnstile looks at technical signals from your browser to tell people from bots, and only shows a box to tick if it isn’t sure. It isn’t used for ads or to follow you across sites. Basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the list free of fake signups, so strangers don’t get invites they never asked for.
We don’t ask for or collect your name, location, game account or anything about your Pokémon on this website.
Who holds it
- Cloudflare hosts the site, runs the bot check, stores the list and provides the visit counts.
- Apple. When the beta opens, we add your email to TestFlight, Apple’s beta testing service, and Apple sends you the invite. From then on, Apple’s privacy policy covers TestFlight.
Cloudflare acts only on our instructions under its data processing terms. We never sell or share your email for advertising.
How long we keep it
Your email stays on the list until we’ve told you Dustwise has launched, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct, export or delete what we hold, or to take you off the list, by emailing support@dustwise.app. We’ll reply within 30 days. If you’re unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The beta list is for people 13 and over. If we learn a child under 13 has signed up, we delete their email.
Changes
If this page changes, we’ll update the date above. If we ever want to use your email for something new, we’ll ask first.
